On March 14-15 the GPS Timber Convention took place at Stora Enso Pulp AB in Skutskär and at Älvkarleö Herrgård just south of Gävle, Sweden. As usual, the attendance was very large, and participants seemed to think that this year’s convention was very rewarding.
“The first day was devoted to a very productive study visit to Stora Enso Pulp AB in Skutskär. There Lars Jonsson explained how GPS Timber works in the company’s pulp mill,” DataPolarna Managing Director Anders Marklund says.
Then we travelled to Älvkarleö Herrgård for dinner and socialising. On Day Two we presented news and listened to ‘From Forest to Finished Product’, an interesting talk about how one of Sweden’s largest forest companies solves logistics. In addition, there was time during the day for exchanges of experiences and discussions, which are particularly important. The participants, who are both customers and potential customers, can exchange experiences. And we receive valuable points of view that allow us to continually carry out improvements that make GPS Timber even better for users,” Anders Marklund continues.
